Jun 27, 2012 · The only thing I did change was to ch 1 in the corners (I do that with regular granny squares also, like the tighter look better) rrather than ch 3 or ch 2. My next idea is to see how to connect them (if I do just a few rounds) with the join as you go method that I use for regular squares. Would be cool to see what happens. Thanks for sharing.
Susie-Hi Val, my N size crochet hook is a 9mm hook. My yarn is pretty chunky! You might be able to adjust the size in the beginning round. Add another chain and double crochet in the beginning and then follow the same pattern that follows so that your hat won’t be too small. Let me know how it turns out!
